I guess there are quite a few of you who thinks the blog is quite dead which I think is far from it. I am very sure not everyone reads the class blog and there are only a handful of you who contributes and for those of you who does, thank you very much. For those who have yet to, hopefully you will do it soon.

It have been quite an eventful week for me....I mean apart from the usual teaching in school, I started my volunteer teach at PS on Monday. Was dragging going there initially (as was really tired) but was glad I went. The boys are really weak and they were asking me the basics from simple factorization to adding fractions (and I remembered the sharing by Alvin Pang) and I was wondering to myself how are they going to sit for their N levels in a couple of months time. However, they are really keen to learn and were not shy to question when in doubt and seems really determined to make it (guess education is their only way out to a better future). I begin to wonder how often we have took things for granted in our life and when we realise it, it might be too late. I sometimes wonder what they are in there for but now that they are given a second chance to study, they are not going to let it slip through them!

I do hope all of you will seize the opportunities that are given to you and make the best out of it. Although we are in a society that are very academically driven, and very often in school, it seems like the teachers are always pushing every students toward academic excellence, at the same time, we also hope to inculcate values into everyone which is something that will probably bring you through life.

I would like to thank Syazleena, Syazwani, Hirdayu, Siti and Murni who helped to design the box for Earth Day and also everyone who have contributed in the old newspaper collection. Haha we got to thank Mdm Vicki for her contribution to our class's pile!

I am hoping to get the class t-shirt out soon and will keep the cost as low as possible. Any volunteer on this? Wani has already came out with a rough design.

I am still waiting to collect the 'Balloons' from all of you, so if you can, do give me asap!
In the meantime, to quote from Alvin Pang's sharing, "Impossible is Nothing! Just Do it!" I think there are lots of hidden talent in each and everyone of you. Believe that you can and dream big!

Hello children,

As the term draws to an end, we will take the opportunity to celebrate all the achievements (whatever big or small) the class has achieved. Be it getting 100% target in temperature taking exercise, creating our very own lanterns (and the stingray!!), surviving the term despite the stress that each and everyone felt!

So this coming Friday during PCT (since school ends early and there is no recess break) we will have a mini celebration. I will provide breakfast (cornflakes, cocopops, oreo biscuits). Jocelyn will take charge of getting the cake (we will celebrate all Feb and Mar babies) and the rest of you, if you can contribute something be it tibits, sweets, chocolates or even fruit, that will be great. :)

Contribute in whatever ways you can or else we are going to have a boring party!! If Zi Jian or even May wants to sing for the class, haha that would be great!

Finally, those of you paying your O level fees by cash, you can give it to me during PCT on Monday and I am hoping that the class have NO LATE COMERS this coming week!!

Hello children,

Ok the month of February is coming to an end and perhaps all of you should start asking yourself what you have achieve these 2 months? Is really amazing how time flies and like I said we cant stop time, and can never be ahead of time but we can make time!

Your future lies in your hand and it really depends on you to make that difference! I am glad most of you felt that your teachers are able to help you - which really shows there is hope in the education system here in Singapore.

Being in teaching for 10 years, I would tell you that as teachers, nothing delight us more than to see our students do well in life. All of you are capable of much more and you must believe in yourself.

I do not want to give all of you too much pressure but I also do not want to see anyone of you regret....later in life!

I stumble upon an article and I find it quite useful so hope you guys and gals will find the motivation within yourself soon.
